Welcome to my website.

I was Mole Valley Liberal Democrat's Parliamentary candidate in the general election on 6 May 2010. The result of the election in Mole Valley was the following:

Paul Beresford (Conservative) 31,263 votes

Alice Humphreys (Liberal Democrat) 15,610

James Dove (Labour) 3,804

Leigh Jones (UKIP) 2,752

Robert Sedgewick (Green) 895

I would like to thank all those who voted for me in the election. I am very grateful for your support which resulted in an increase of 547 votes for the Liberal Democrats on our result at the 2005 general election. My team worked very hard over a long period of time and I want to thank them for their consistent hard work.

Although I would have liked to have achieved a greater increase in our general election vote in Mole Valley, we achieved a superb result in the local council elections. We lost 1 seat but gained 4. This is a great step forward for Mole Valley Liberal Democrats. It means that the composition of Mole Valley District Council is now:

Conservatives 18 councillors

Liberal Democrats 17 councillors

Ashtead Independents 5 councillors

Leatherhead Independents 1 councillor

I would like to extend my thanks to all those who voted for our council candidates. I am certain they will do great work.
