Education and Work

I grew up in the attractive town of Leatherhead, Surrey. I attended three schools: St Mary's, West Ashtead and Therfield Secondary School, where I was Head Girl. I really enjoyed my time at all three schools. I was taught by some excellent and inspiring teachers and I made many life-long friends.

In 2000 I began my studies at Nottingham University. There I involved myself in student politics and did voluntary work in the local community. It was great to spend a few years living in a city whilst studying on a beautifully green university campus. I graduated in 2004 with a 2:1 in History and American Studies - BA (Joint Honours).

I then moved back to Leatherhead and lived there for another two years. During this time I studied at the College of Law in Guildford, sponsored by Charles Russell Solicitors. In 2005 I passed my exams for a Graduate Diploma in Law and was awarded a Commendation. In the following year I passed my Legal Practice Course, also with a Commendation. Law School, like school and University was a very enjoyable experience for me. This was partly because I enjoy learning, but mostly because of the friends I made and studied with.

Since my time in education, I have been a trainee solicitor at Charles Russell Solicitors in Guildford.
